5 reasons to choose Magento over Shopify

What are the reasons to choose Magento over Shopify? Selecting a perfect eCommerce platform is a risky job. You’re going to invest your hard-earned money and create your business on this platform, and it’s going to describe your business online for the next numerous years.

Tension is coming! But don’t worry. I’m going to try and simplify it for you in this article.

I will give you five reasons to choose Magento over Shopify.

Pull yourself up a chair and let’s talk about. Choosing an e-commerce platform can be a subtle, nuanced process. It often comes down to the smallest difference or feature that makes one direction better than another. There’s no way we can go through everything in a single article.

This article is not a feature comparison. It’s more of five big things that you can look for that if they apply to your business, can make your decision a lot easier. With that in mind, it applies to Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento Open Source, or Magento Commerce.

This particular article outlines five reasons that Magento might be better for you than Shopify.

Anybody who tells you they’re unbiased is just lying to you. I have my favorite platforms. We’re Magento partners don’t so much with Shopify. However, I’m not going to steer you wrong either. I want you to end up on the platform that is 100% best for you and your business.

Now, these are in no particular order so let’s just get into it.

1. Robust Stability of Magento

The first amazing reason to select Magento over Shopify is if you’re in a controversial or high-risk industry. If you’re an industry, where laws or public sentiment is constantly evolving the open-source nature and flexibility of Magento is going to give you the stability that you can never have on Shopify.

Shopify has a history of allowing businesses to invest and build on their platform only to change their mind and give them weeks to find and migrate to another option, You don’t want that kind of worry and risk.

You need to be thinking long term and that risk is a constant distraction and is not healthy for your business. If you’re in a controversial or high-risk industry like a firearm or vape products, the flexibility that Magento provides, like being able to move to a different host or select a new payment provider, means that someone can’t just tell you no.

Basically, you have options and there’s not just one provider that can completely shut you down.

2. Magento Gives You a Powerful Control

The next reason to choose Magento over Shopify is control. Sometimes you really need control and other times you really just want control. If you’re in heavily regulated industries like pharmaceuticals, it may be necessary for you to have full control over your technology stack.

Perhaps there are certain technologies you want to use like AWS or Azure or you have your own system administrators and want full control over your hosting stack. That makes Magento a no brainer versus Shopify.

I also often talk to merchants that just don’t like or trust SaaS platforms. I don’t really know where this deep-seated hate comes from. They just don’t care for the business model at all. Regardless of any benefit, just not a fan.

3. B2B ECommerce

The next reason to choose Magento over Shopify is b2b. B2b e-commerce is a whole different animal than b2c. Negotiated pricing, quotes, corporate accounts are all things that are the bare minimum to meet customer demands.

The flexibility of Magento also allows you to craft custom user experiences specific to your industry and products if you really want to do b2b right. Magento also has the flexibility needed to handle the most complex data needs.

You can tie it into whatever poorly thought-out and archaic back-office systems you may have cobbled together over the last 20 years.

4. Magento Gives You Flexibility And Scalability

And the next reason to choose Magento over Shopify is flexibility and scalability.

Most e-commerce platforms are designed to provide middle-of-the-road functionality that appeals to a large collection of merchants.

In some cases, that may not provide everything you need to execute on your e-commerce vision. If you’re going to step outside of the norm and build something extremely custom, then you have more options with the flexibility that comes with the open-source nature of the Magento platform.

As far as scalability goes you can build an empire on Magento. Now, before we get into this, I know someone is going to bring up some merchants like Kylie Cosmetics which is a shopping shining example of scale on the platform.

What I’m talking about in this section is not about pure sales. Kylie Cosmetics is a unicorn and is not representative of your business. It has a scale without complexity.

They’re doing hundreds of millions of dollars online with like four employees. Now that may be what you wish your business was like but it aren’t you.

What I’m talking about is the complexity of scale and providing a unified eCommerce experience across that business.

Do you have a chain of physical stores and need to integrate your website’s order management and inventory across these locations? As in, your customers can see the inventory in their local store, order it, and pick it up this afternoon.

Magento can do that. Do you have five or ten international brands that all need e-commerce experiences that are optimized for multiple languages and fully integrated with your back-office systems?

Magento can do that, on one installation. If your business objectives are world domination or your brand has tons of complex issues then Magento will be a perfect choice

5. Innovation, Innovation, Innovation

The next reason to choose Magento over Shopify is innovation. If you want to be ahead of the curve of technology or user experiences then you’re going to need the flexibility that an open-source platform provides.

A big example right now is progressive web apps and headless commerce. There are ways to build a PWA on Shopify. However, unless your needs are basic you’ll eventually run into some feature that needs to be customized or custom-built depending on what it is.

If you’re on a SaaS platform like Shopify, then you may not have the ability to do that customization. So, if you desire to be a leader then open-source is going to be better for you than SaaS, so Magento is going to win over Shopify.

There are a ton of features that you need to consider to ultimately decide which platform is best for you. Hopefully, however, these five things, if they apply to you, make that call just a little bit easier.

Migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2

All Magento Commerce 1.x versions will reach their end of life (EOL) on June 30, 2020 as per Magento official site. Means, there won’t be any security patches and quality fixes after June, 30 2020. Thousands of merchants across the globe have already migrated their Magento version to Magento 2 and many online stores are currently being migrated by different individuals or groups of Magento developers.

Obviously, migrating from M1 to M2 isn’t an easy or simple task as M2 architecture is completely different from M1 and even after using Magento official tools for this migration, we may require lots of development efforts depending on how M1 site is developed. In this article I will try to cover some important steps for migrating from M1 to M2 using Magento official tools with some of their details. This will give you an overview of all migration requirements and possibilities. So, let’s get started.

According to Magento official migration guide there are different components involved in migration as:

  • Themes and Customization
  • Extension and Custom Code
  • Data

I will cover these components based on how much we can migrate starting from a lower amount.

Themes and Customization

As I mentioned earlier that magento uses a different architecture in Magento 2 so migration of themes is not possible without creating or modifying M2 theme. Developers will need to make changes to their M2 themes as per Magento 2 themes and layout documentation.

Extensions and Custom Code

Magento has developed a very effective Code Migration Toolkit which enables developers to convert their M1 module code to M2 module. As per the official documentation the toolkit is intended for Magento developers with reasonable expertise in both M1 and M2. The toolkit covers migration of the following M1 code:

  • Module directory structure
  • Layout XML files
  • Config XML files
  • PHP files

At the time of writing this article this toolkit doesn’t support conversion of theme code.

According to Magento official documentation:

The toolkit can significantly reduce the work involved in the code migration. However, after running the toolkit one will need to manually edit some of the generated files.

Many of Magento tech partners and Magento extension developers have already developed a M2 version of their extensions

Other than this toolkit, many of Magento tech partners and other Magento developers have already developed a version of their extension for M2 and they are already available on their websites and Magento marketplace. Those extensions can be installed and set up from scratch on M2 sites.

Data

Data is the most significant component for any merchants or store owner and this must not be compromised and must be migrated. Magento has developed the Magento 2 Data Migration Tool to efficiently migrate all data from M1 to M2 including products, categories, customers, orders, other transactions, store configuration, CMS and promotions.

This Data Migration Tool is a CLI and required to install in M2. As per its official documentation:

Data Migration Tool is a command-line interface (CLI) used for transferring data from Magento 1 to Magento 2. The Tool verifies consistency between Magento 1 and 2 database structures (tables and fields), tracks the data transfer progress, creates logs, and runs data verification tests.

The tool has several different modes which enables developers to capture incremental data from M1 stores which are added while running previous migration modes without any conflict or glitch.

Apart from database records, you will also need to copy your M1 media into M2 where M1-root/media should be gone to M2-root/pub/media.

Conclusion

Even after using several effective tools from Magento, developers are still required to create/install themes, do customization, review code and make changes accordingly. The migration process can’t be estimated in general as it depends on M1 site development.

How to Estimate the Cost of Developing Your Mobile Application?

How to Estimate the Cost of Your Mobile App - intelvue
How to Estimate the Cost of Developing Your Mobile Application

The mobile applications market is still growing with 23 billion dollars in turnover generated by the Appstore and Google Play and a 20% increase in customer spending in 2019 *.  In this competitive era, estimating the cost of your app is very necessary.

It is not surprising in this context that many companies want to develop their applications by placing the mobile at the heart of their business.

In all cases, it remains tough to anticipate the cost of its application, the price range being able to vary considerably from one application to another. It mainly depends on three main criteria: functionality, technology, and design.

What features can vary the cost of your app?

The first essential point for your applications is obviously the functionalities, namely all the uses that you will offer in your application for your users.

The cost of these features may vary depending on:

  1. Volume: the higher the quantity, the more costly the application will be.
  2. Development complexity: certain functionalities may require more development time because they represent increased technical challenges.

The intervention of external elements can also cause costs to vary. By interference of foreign elements, we mean any integration, connection, or interfacing with existing solutions.

It may be :

  1. Synchronization of your application with your website or an existing database.
  2. Integration of an external service (mapping service, connection facilitator, integration of payment solution, push notification, etc.).

Among the most expensive features:

  1. Payment tunnel.
  2. Synchronization with third-party APIs or services.
  3. Social interaction features comment, like, manage friends.
  4. Innovative features: machine learning, augmented reality, etc.

Technology: The Nerve of War

The technology (or programming language) for which you will opt for the development of your application will significantly fluctuate the cost of the latter.

Technology - The Nerve of War - Intelvue
Technology – The Nerve of War

Depending on the technical strategy chosen and the targeted distribution platform (Android or iOS), the development days may vary from one to two.

For those who are not proficient in mobile, here is a summary of the four prime families of technologies used :

1. Native Language:

It is the traditional language of mobile application development that is pushed by Apple and Google. The native language is the most efficient because it has been thought and created to perfectly meet the needs of the devices (normal since it is created and pushed by the manufacturers).

For some applications, you will have no choice but to use these technologies, which allow the creation of complex and platform-related functionalities.

In case you want to create an application only on an iOS or Android platform, do not deprive yourself of the power of these technologies, which are often discarded, because of the cost of the “multiplatform”.

Native technologies include Swift for Apple, Kotlin for Android.

2. Hybrid Web Language:

Introduced in 2009, hybrid web languages make it possible to create mobile applications using integrated web views, while benefiting from bridges with certain native functionalities of the platforms: access to contacts or the calendar, push notification.

The interest of these technologies is to partially share the code between three platforms: iPhone, Android, and the website.

Before choosing this technology, you should check the feasibility of the features you want to integrate and the durability of the desired application.

3. The Native Hybrid Language:

Introduced in 2013. The native hybrid languages promise mobile applications closer to native possibilities, with interface possibilities very close to native technologies.

The advantage of these technologies is that it directly uses part of the native components. Thus, the performances are better than for the web hybrid.

We find as technologies: React Native, Xamarin, Flutter.

4. The PWA or Progressive Web App:

This new type of apps has been very famous lately. A progressive web app (or PWA) is a web application developed with web development languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.) and executed from a web browser.

Its operation is very close to what a vintage application (downloaded from a store) could offer.

Design: an aesthetic that comes at a cost

Regarding the design of your application, in terms of UX and UI, everything is possible! But just because your imagination is limitless doesn’t mean that the development behind it will also be crystal clear.

The more precise design details you want (custom views, non-standard navigation, animation, transition, etc.), the longer the development time will be.

So be careful with the templates and other attractive designs that you will find online (on Dribble or Pinterest, for example), which will often belong to develop and more expensive to produce.

Additional Costs to be Expected

Finally, in addition to development costs, it is significant to anticipate recurring costs, such as:

  1. Maintenance of your application. The more users you have, the more it will cost you and, depending on the technology used, it may cost you more (hybrid more costly than the native, for example). This maintenance is divided into two main types:
    • corrective maintenance: your service provider treats any anomalies that may occur during use or on minority versions of platforms (ex: iOS13.2 is a minority version of iOS13),
    • scalable maintenance: your service provider manages new features on the app over the long term.
  2. Upgrades of annual versions: for the application to always be compatible with the latest version of the OS of the various terminals, updates to your app must be necessary.
  3. Subscriptions to third-party solutions if you have integrated them (push, payment, mapping, etc.)
  4. The server
  5. Supervision and monitoring of your services

You will understand by reading this article, the cost of your app depends on an immense number of parameters. Price ranges can vary from 7,000 to 500,000 euros.

Only a clear and precise specification will allow you to have the most refined and realistic quote possible.

At Intelvue, we take very seriously to provide you with the most precise quote possible, transparently, and without hidden cost. Today, dozens of customers have trusted us and who prove their loyalty to us every year.

What Steps You Should Follow To Fix Your Mobile App Errors

In this blog, we will see what steps you should follow to fix your mobile app errors and why you should consider this. If your mobile app is going through the pandemic situation (means facing some errors) then follow these steps. Let’s dive into the blog.

What Steps You Should Follow To Fix Your Mobile App Errors - Intelvue
What Steps You Should Follow To Fix Your Mobile App Errors – Intelvue

No matter how prepared your development team is, errors can still occur on your application. Unfortunately, you cannot prevent 100% of the problems. However, in case of errors, it is best to have an action plan to resolve them as quickly as possible for your users.

Speaking of users, these days, they are much less tolerant when things go wrong. According to Statista, an average of 6,140 mobile apps were released through the Google Play Store every day.

So, as you can see the competition is so fierce. And when you have persistent errors, you lose customers to your competitors. Today, users have become severe critics and have no patience for bugs.

Moreover, they do not hesitate to leave a negative opinion directly on the page of your application.

How can you compete in a world where application development is constantly evolving? To get started, you need to find a way to locate errors in your application so that you can resolve them as quickly as possible.

Better yet, you need a way to view your application in real-time in order to prevent these errors from occurring.

1. Start with Vigilant Testing To Fix Your Mobile App Errors

Although it is essential to test it continuously, you should start with full tests before launching or any subsequent deployment of your application. There are more than 24,000 types of Android devices among tablets and smartphones.

Start with Vigilant Testing To Fix Your Mobile App Errors - Intelvue
Start with Vigilant Testing To Fix Your Mobile App Errors – Intelvue

How are you going to make sure your app works on all of them? Obviously you are not going to buy a model of each, but you can still start by prioritizing the most common operating systems and devices.

To test your application and your deployments on multiple operating systems, try Bitbar. This tool tests your application on more than 1,000 Android and iOS devices to make sure it is successful.

2. Be Open To Problems

It is understandable not to want to shout from the rooftops when things go wrong, but there is a reason why you should be clear about the problems. If you can’t communicate with developers and teams in your organization, you won’t be able to make effective changes.

Explain clearly what is wrong, how users are impacted, and when the application will be fully operational again. Not only is this process useful for developers, but also for customer service teams who deal with users in real-time.

Communicating with your users about what’s going on will help preserve your reputation when things go wrong.

3. Invest in Archiving Software

The logbook is a key part of applications. The more well-designed your recording system, the easier it will be to locate errors and prevent them from happening in real time.

Each time users run the program at the front end, the system creates a vault of information (logs) about these interactions.

Having a more complete log of your application will serve as a roadmap in case of problems. What exactly should you trace? Here are the most important points to consider:

  1. Exceptions: Although you probably do not need to register all exceptions (such as managed exceptions), choosing these exceptions is a good first step to creating a clear path for errors.
  2. Events: This operation should focus on the main components of an application, such as start, stop and restart. It is also useful to log security-related events that could prevent cyber attacks.
  3. Information from debug: The debug logs can be added to your code to diagnose problems.
  4. User HTTP requests: It is useful to log what comes from the user to get all the details on the parameters.
  5. JavaScript errors: Finally, a global JavaScript exception handler will specifically record JavaScript errors.

Leveraging this information can help you create a more powerful application that can handle a variety of environments and user information.

Developers can choose to include session-specific data in the logbook, which becomes critical in the event of an error or bug.

4. Monitor Your Application Continuously

One of the most important aspects of managing your application is performance monitoring. It allows you to keep a competitive advantage over your rivals. Like logbooks, they keep track of vital information about your app’s performance.

Although the logbook helps you keep track of an error if it occurs, tracking keeps these errors from happening in the first place.

Application tracking includes information such as a number of downloads, new user data, load times and other performance indicators showing whether the application is operational.

Tracking the performance of your app will help you create a better customer experience at all levels. It is not enough that your application is online, it must work well. This involves keeping track of a lot of mobile data.

If you monitor IIS performance and other measures, you will be able to make informed decisions about your platform and avoid problems before they even occur. Remember that satisfied customers are paying customers.

5. Listen to Your Users

Your users are your greatest strength. They are the ones who interact with your application at all levels and their opinion is worth gold. As we said before, an operational application does not mean that an improvement is not possible.

Even the smallest bugs and errors can often go unnoticed, even in the logs, especially if they are not part of the largest application processes.

Encourage your users to report any problem, even the most minor. Take an interest in the reviews posted on the app stores and take them seriously.

Even if some comments may seem minor, it is this information that can make the difference between you and your competitors.

Correcting Errors in Your App

No developer can plan everything. In such a dynamic sector, new developments are being deployed faster than ever to meet demand. These improvements are good, but they bring their own challenges.

The tips above will not only help you prevent errors, but also identify them when they occur. As long as you are proactive in tackling potential problems and remain open with your users, you have everything in hand to create a successful application.

5 Reasons Your Business Needs its Own Mobile App

5 Reasons Your Business Needs its Own Mobile App. Check out these reasons and get a mobile app for your business.

In just under ten years, mobile application development has reached a threshold and exceeded Web applications in terms of usage. Customers use mobile apps to chat with friends, browse the web, shop online and manage their bank accounts, spending an average of three hours a day on their cellphones.

5 Reasons Your Business Needs its Own Mobile App
5 Reasons Your Business Needs its Own Mobile App – Intelvue

For businesses, a mobile app is a great way to grab the attention of their customers and keep them interested in their products. The mobile application developers are in high demand and businesses around the world are eager to launch their first application.

The development of business applications is therefore experiencing unprecedented growth and it is high time for business executives to realize that a mobile application is not a luxury, but a necessity.

You may think that developing an enterprise application is a long and expensive process that pays off in the short term. Why invest in a product that most customers expect to enjoy for free?

For a sceptic, nothing is as reassuring as a few solid and coldly established figures. If you’re trying to figure out if it’s worth it to have your own business app, the numbers below may make you change your mind.

1. Free Applications are Surging

According to TechCrunch, A record 204 billion apps have been downloaded in 2019, up 6% from 2018 and up 45% since 2016. The main reason for such an increase is that companies are producing more free apps by generating revenue through purchases through built-in features and other business models that come into play after downloading.

Free Applications are Surging
Free Applications are Surging

“Freemium” models, integrated purchasing functionalities and advertisements on mobile devices are the main sources of revenue for businesses.

If your competitors offer a free app with indirect benefits, it’s likely that your customers will be tempted out of curiosity. While this may seem counterintuitive, exceptionally well-developed profitability methods to generate income.

2. High Mobile Performance

A few years ago, loading web pages to mobile took a lot of time. Since then, portable devices have improved and websites are loading faster, but these devices are even slower than mobile applications.

High Mobile Performance
High Mobile Performance

It takes an average of 19 seconds to load a mobile website, which is still far too long for today’s limited attention span.

By comparing business apps to mobile websites, it is clear that you will have a much better chance of capturing the attention of your customers with a mobile app.

That said, a well-designed mobile site can help engage customers. Sites that load in 5 seconds instead of 19 seconds have 25 percent more ad views, 70 percent longer average duration sessions, and 35 bounce rates lower.

3. Each User has 50+ Apps on Average

The average user installs more than 50 mobile apps but does not interact with all of them. Forty active apps is a large number, and while you might think that users spend more of their time on larger apps, this is not always true.

Customers are constantly looking for ways to improve their lives, and if a company finds a way to fix it, they’ll stay connected and your app won’t end up in the trash.

Therefore, an important step for the proper development of an enterprise application is to get users to not only download your application but also to use it.

4. Proven industries

Social media, communication, gaming, and retail are four of the most popular areas for enterprise app development. Business applications are also at the top of the interest list of business executives because they touch on essential and driving elements of the business such as generating income through close contact with the customer.

It is true that a large part of the popular applications belong to the big brands, but the newcomers still have enough scope to shake up the “status quo” and gain ground on the specialized markets.

You don’t have to replace Facebook, but you can capitalize on this model by focusing on the needs of your customers. Based on the success of social media apps, we can conclude that users like to connect, share and communicate.

Gaming apps allow users to have fun

Gaming apps allow users to have fun, and this is an easy way to keep them glued to the screen. The retail successful applications must offer fast and personalized services to be appreciated by your customers.

Each company must ensure the smooth turnover of its team of commercial agents. Sales teams have always been essential for business growth, but now more than ever sales representatives need to stay connected with customers and be able to do a great job wherever they are. .

With such pressure and need for focus during business meetings, it helps to have a support tool that offers business tips and tricks on the touch screen.

A commercial application with an interactive video presentation can convince a customer much faster than a long and boring introduction.

When all of a company’s documents and contacts are stored on a database in a mobile app, sales representatives will have useful and more reliable information at the right time. Commercial relations are an essential argument for the development of business applications and a subject that deserves major investments.

5. For Millennial Generations, Apps Dominate Mobile Websites

95 percent of the time you use smartphones happened on mobile apps. In addition, the use of mobile applications is increasing by 6 percent per year. Even if you might want to start with a mobile website, your strategy in this area should clearly focus on producing a good app.

Think of the millennial generations: the success of your app could depend on something as simple as designing an icon – 21 percent of these users deleted an app for the sole reason that an icon did not work well on their home screen.

On the positive side, the millennial generations represent the widest client base and a very engaged audience, and they are also more ready to pay for an enterprise application development.

WorkDay probably isn’t going to be a great solution if you’re a complex manufacturer with the global supply chain and you’re looking for something to do all that stuff for you.

But The Perfect Solution For

But if you’re a more simple vanilla organization that is placing a high priority on employee experience and you have pretty vanilla financial processes work date could be a great consideration for you and it certainly is an up and coming type of system that we see a lot of positive growth in trajectory consists of results in the marketplace and that’s enough to land.

3 Life-Saving Pros of WorkDay

  1. The User Interface is very clean and easy to use.
  2. It consists of reach features to support compliance task and L&D.
  3. Time Tracking option is available.

3 Cons of WorkDay

  1. The way you choose options from the drop-down boxes is a little confusing.
  2. Direct deposit set up is extremely difficult.
  3. Primitive graphics that look kind of childish.

3. Infor

Infor combined with Infor cloud suite the reason I call both of those out is that infor is in a state of transition like a lot of merchants are moving from some legacy products to cloud-based newer products and we’re still watching tons of corporations particularly in the manufacturing distribution space implement infor product particularly m3 and cloud-suite.

Now cloud suite for a while infor seem to be marketing cloud suite is the end-all-be-all flagship solution, but from what we’re seeing there’s more of a focus on HCM and some select point functionality in cloud suite and they’re still focusing on more the legacy product like with m3 on the core ERP functionality.

3 Pros of Infor

  1. It provides excellent accounting feature that is very easy to use. Only a few clicks will do the job easily.
  2. It is very easy to run month-end processes that assure all expenses are proper and then get ready for the next accounting period.
  3. The motor vehicle sector has very rigorous quality metrics, and Infor ERP enables us to not only enhance quality but also raise productivity & reliability.

3 Cons of Infor

  1. The functionality of Human Resource lacks that can hurt your business.
  2. Reports and background tasks/updates frequently demand to be run after-hours as speed is a significant problem and can obstruct other parallel people.
  3. Bill of materials seemed cumbersome to use

2. SalesForce

So, Salesforce most of you have heard of Salesforce CRM customer relationship management and you may be wondering how Salesforce could possibly be on our top 5 list of ERP systems.

The reason why Salesforce is on our list is not only because it’s a very strong and robust CRM system but also because they’ve built this ecosystem of third-party applications that are meant to provide different functions that mimic or mirror what traditional ERP systems do and there’s also a number of third-party providers that are creating ERP functions and industry-focused solutions on the Salesforce platform.

So, a lot of flexibility and a lot of innovation coming from that because we’re not relying on one vendor to create all the innovation in the functionality that we need for a complete ERP system.

SalesForce provides a certain amount of flexibility but can also create a certain amount of complexity. So you have to be careful and be the right type of organization for this to make the most sense to you chances are you need to have a fairly robust or a fairly sophisticated and mature IT capability internally to be able to support multiple systems within the Salesforce platform.

There’s a lot of adoption in the marketplace a lot of momentum a lot of companies evaluating and moving to Salesforce as one of the leading in one of the first cloud pure sass ERP systems and that’s enough to land Salesforce.

4 Pros of SalesForce

  1. Data Integrity
  2. Automation
  3. Customization
  4. Simplicity Of User Experience

4 Cons of SalesForce

  1. Heavy to load on the run, while on the field with not so fast internet connection
  2. You may face technical support issues.
  3. Hard to use at times
  4. It’s fully dependent on the internet connection. The connection should be stable to ensure the consistency of business processes and transactions supported with CRM.

1. NetSuite

You have landed in the NetSuite world. The most trusted cloud ERP software suite in the world. It is the world’s largest cloud ERP vendor. Around 50,000+ corporations are using NetSuite to manage their tons of information in an effective way.

Enterprise-level security

It was introduced in 1998 that’s the exact year Google was established. NetSuite has 99.5 uptime and has consistently met 99.98%. It employs enterprise-level security features. Its innovative security and encryption policies will keep the data safe and sound.

Is It Perfect For You?

If you’re a complex manufacturer with you know, make to order and complex project management or complex field services, but if you have fairly vanilla distribution and light manufacturing and sub-assemblies, it can still be a great fit for you and if you’re certainly in the financial services or retail some other industries, as well, NetSuite is a great product and that’s enough to put it at number one.

The liabilities are the downside things to think about is you want to make sure that you’re looking at NetSuite not only for what you are as an organization today but if you’re scaling for very high growth and you’re a multinational company that’s scaling to be a multi-billion-dollar corporation, you may outgrow the capability of NetSuite.

Implementation Support

The other thing to think about on the flip side is that the implementation partner network is still a bit suspect much like Microsoft Dynamics is most implementations seem to still happen through NetSuite at least the ones we’ve been involved with technical resources are largely coming from NetSuite and NetSuite still has more of a call center model in their implementation support.

7 Life-Saving Pros of NetSuite

  1. Gives perfect mobile ERP solution
  2. Delivers Real-time data on laptop, smartphone, and desktop.
  3. It offers you to make agile business decisions.
  4. NetSuite is completely able to handle and manage all core business processes and functions.
  5. Accounting and financials with multi-currency support.
  6. CRM to enhance user experience.
  7. ECommerce integration so you never miss a sale.

4 Anguish Cons of NetSuite

  1. The Implementation process and pricing model for NetSuite can cost exorbitant for small enterprises to upgrade.
  2. The high level of customization demands a lot of maintenance and very high technical knowledge.
  3. Support is vexatious and it is not user-friendly if you are belonging to non-technical side.
  4. The printing format isn’t the best

Final Words

So, here we provided top 5 ERPs in 2020. If you are thinking that which one will be the right choice then it totally depends on your business requirements, your company budget, and then the technical knowledge you or your team have to handle in the future.

In my opinion, NetSuite is the perfect tool for mid to large organizations. If you are an owner of big corporations and needs and ERP software then implementing NetSuite will be the best choice.

If you are running big IT company or customer service center then ServiceNow is a good option for you. It has very advanced features and options to solve your business problems comfortably.

If you can’t figure that which one is best for you then call us; we will help you for choosing the best erp for your business.

If we say that eCommerce is the greatest invention of the century, the statement wouldn’t wrong. As time is flying day by day, everything is being changed, and emerging with the new form, the same implies to eCommerce. Online purchases are becoming more popular among people. Relying just on the website could hurt your business going for an eCommerce mobile app can lead you to find a way that will uplift your business to the sky.

10 reasons that your business needs Mobile eCommerce app – Intelvue

80% of adults in the United States have

If we talk about statistics, stats say that more than 90% of US citizens have mobile phones. More than 80% of adults in the United States have smartphones. So, if everybody is leveraging this device, then why not you?

Most of the potential customers or targeted audience is on the smartphone. If your business is not being appropriately approached on their favorite device, then some other eCommerce mobile app owner will cash your audience into his pocket.

If you want to cash your audience into your account, then you have to adapt to this change. Your eCommerce website can’t handle your potential audience without an eCommerce mobile app. The eCommerce wind will let you know where it will be gone in the future.

Building a mobile eCommerce app is necessary if you want to run your business for the long-term. You need an eCommerce mobile app because:

1. eCommerce Mobile App is on Trending

The sales of smartphones are surging day by day, which is adopted by the eCommerce sector.

Your sales metrics will tell the consumer behavior from which websites they are using to buy your products. You will be amazed that most of your targeted audience will be using tablets and smartphones for purchasing your products.

According to research, the majority of eCommerce sales are taken out of smartphones.

Mobile eCommerce app is posied for more growth
Courtesy by statista

And this is not the end of the story; more than 70% of eCommerce sales will be carried out through smartphones. Isn’t it shocking news? Shocking news in that sense that because you don’t have an eCommerce business app for leveraging your valuable clients, and you are inviting your foes to take over the market and cash your hard work.

If you think that are your potential customers are ready to buy products from mobile phones? Consider this scenario. One of your consumers wants to buy his favorite shirt from your website. He/she will feel more convenient to use mobile instead of opening his computer to be started that takes some minutes. Think to have an optimized mobile app for your customers will save those minutes, and yes, it worth a lot.

Even if your customers are on the bus, train, or anywhere else where the presence of a laptop or computer is not possible, mobile commerce will make the buying process more comfortable and convenient for your buyers.

Mobile commerce will be the leader of the eCommerce world. The shopping apps are surging day by day. If your eCommerce business will not carry a mobile app, then it would get entry into the new world.

2. Mobile Apps are All-Time Favorite of Your Customers

If you are getting eCommerce sales without having a mobile app. We consider your statement 100% true. If you are satisfied by looking at your data insights that without having a mobile app, you are doing well, then, believe me, you are just seeing the surface of the eCommerce web.

A mobile-friendly website is the basic need of every online business owner. If we look at the stats, 90% of people demand a more aesthetic website version as compared to its desktop version.

If your site is delivering a lousy experience, your 88% of consumers will give you a massive bounce rate, and it’s too dangerous to handle. A good website should have 2 secs or less loading time.

The mobile-friendly website would be the first step that will lead you to generate more eCommerce sales from smartphone users. But if we look closely at mentioned below statistics, then it will give new insights.

Most of your audience (around 70-75%) would choose a mobile eCommerce app to buy a product rather than a mobile website.

So, if you are selling 1000 t-shirts per week, almost 70% wants to buy from your mobile app. And these are your old buddies (customers). So, think about how many audiences you are neglecting just because you don’t have a mobile application.

So, if you are an eCommerce business owner and don’t have a mobile app, you are hitting your business by yourself. Think about it.

3. Better Conversion Rates

Numbers are the real elements of any business. Better conversion rates mean better business. If you look at the image as mentioned above, it is crystal clear that the app is owed to the race.

There is 286% more chance for users to view more products than websites and 85% chances to add the product to cart, and last but not least 23% purchase chance in the mobile app. isn’t enough to carry mobile eCommerce app?

More conversion rates cash more dollars, and mobile apps drive better conversion rates.

4. Improve Marketing Communication

Considering a mobile app for your eCommerce business wouldn’t disappoint you but give you more thousands or millions of bucks.

The mobile application is a dream of marketers that can give those millions of bucks. If you are succeeded in improving your marketing campaigns, then you are able to achieve more sales, revenue, and all and all.

Not every of your customer won’t purchase anything every day or every week. Then you will need to spend millions of bucks on your marketing campaigns to engage your customer. But with a mobile app, Push notifications can help you a lot in order to communicate with your current or prospective customers.

The customers mostly open push notifications as compared to emails. The probability of click increases by 40%. It’s a very effective way to collaborate and communicate with your customers.

Social Media Platforms

If you are targeting your audience through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and others, this process takes many steps: seeing your company’s advertisement, navigating to your website, and then get these customers to convert from these platforms.

What’s Wrong with Email Method?

The same implies to email. First, your customers need to sign up to get the latest updates, then they need to go for the message, then they will reach your website.

Go with Push Notifications

Push notifications will make the process easier for your buyers. Naturally, it will leave a pop-up notification on his/her phone. When the user clicks on it, he/she will directly be diverted to your app, and your mobile application will do its magic.

5. Increase Average Order Value

As we discussed that a mobile app enhances the user experience and gives better conversion rates. But the story isn’t completed yet; it also helps your Average Order Value AOV.

Browsing from mobile apps helps the user to easily buy their products as if we compare this to the website. Your consumers have better opportunities to see your offers.

Studies show that having a mobile app will return you a higher average order value, then desktop screens and mobile browsers.

6. Your customer Demands Personalization.

Reaching the target audience with the right things at the right time could be crucial in the eCommerce industry. If you are not paying attention to give more personalization to your customers, the good days will end very soon.

An eCommerce mobile app brings your customer to another world of personalization. With the help of an app, you can track user behavior, interest, purchase history, and other things through which your customers will get a more personalized way to buy your products.

More than 60% of customers demand a tailored experience during online shopping. And this figure has been triggered by 58% just in two years. So, personalization is on Trending.

7. Grows User Loyalty

If you want to increase customer loyalty, then spending money on the customer loyalty program would benefit you.

An app that permits its users to check their status within a program in real-time. A loyalty program encourages customers to spend more bucks to get their next reward.

Example of Customer Loyalty Program

Let’s suppose you put an offer that whoever purchases five times from an app will get a 50% discount on his/her 6th purchase.

Or another example could be that whoever will spend 1000$ per month will be rewarded with some rewards.

Psychologically, this program appeals to more audience to buy something even they don’t need that particular item very much. Still, because of this fantastic offer, your customers will do some shopping from your app.

8. Decrease Cart Abandonment Rates

Shopping cart abandonment is the main challenge for eCommerce industries. But why it is freaking problems because:

  1. Extra money like taxes and shipping – 50-60%
  2. Lengthy checkout process – 40%
  3. The website had technical issues – 20%
  4. Must have an account to proceed – 37%

E-commerce mobile apps decrease friction in the process of checkout. When a user purchases some product, his preferences are saved in the app settings.

The more steps will be contained, the higher they will face the issue of abandonment. As you reduce additional steps from this process, you will automatically gain more customers quickly.

9. Excellent Customer Service

75% of retail customers demand outstanding customer service to be retained for the long-term. So spending money on improving customer service will make you achieve the extra mile.

So keep in mind customer service when you are going to design an eCommerce mobile app.

So, the question arises, how to improve customer service?

To address this problem, you can provide live chat support to your customers so that your customers can communicate with your company, which would lead to enhanced customer service.

Allowing your consumers to track their orders from the very beginning can also be an excellent example of improving customer service.

10. ECommerce Mobile App Boosts Retention Rates

Retention rates refer to a specific period of time, is the company able to retain % of customers over that time? Generating sales is the target, but it doesn’t tell the complete story. What I am forcing you to consider is how many of your eCommerce sales are being generated from the same consumers?

Studies show that 38% of users get back to a mobile app of your eCommerce business ten times after they download it. And there is a high probability that they will purchase during these visits.

If you are not getting new users back, then push notification to their mobiles to get them back. Mobile sites or desktop sites will not allow you to avail of these opportunities.

End of the Story

The article summarizes that you have a mobile app for your eCommerce business to attract more sales, new users, and golden opportunities.

Here’s a recap of our whole blog:

  1. Higher Conversion rates
  2. You will get customer loyalty.
  3. You will see higher retention rates

  5. And many more

How Covid-19 is Impacting eCommerce Business?

So, in this blog, we are going to talk about this pandemic situation on eCommerce platforms that How Covid-19 Is Impacting e-commerce Business? The deadliest episodes of coronavirus is affecting each and every person, individuals, groups, industries, online stores, and a lot more.

How Covid-19 is Impacting eCommerce Business?
How Covid-19 is Impacting eCommerce Business? Courtesty By disruptiveadvertising

I want to start off with this blog saying that I am NOT a health expert I have a limited knowledge based on what I’m reading online from the news, however; I wanted to talk more about the coronavirus which is a kind of spreading across the globe and how it is affecting eCommerce stores?

Info About Coronavirus

The Coronavirus started in Wuhan China in December 2019 and it has now been reported in almost every country across the globe. According to Google and other online resources, there’s been over 3.51M confirmed cases, 1.13M people are recovered from this deadliest virus and sadly over 247K people have died from it.

Ecommerce

Ecommerce which can be defined as the online trading of goods and services–Having severe economic downturns and declines; Covid-19 is hitting businesses too dramatically. As physical stores are closed, so people and their families are shifting towards online shopping.

If we look at stats, this pandemic has spread chaos situations, a massive loss in most of the businesses such as airlines, tourism and more, but there is another part of the coin, which is not negative, now eCommerce websites can get new insights that how customers shop online because a report from mobile application tracking company states that the average daily downloads are dramatically increased since February.

The Impact of COVID-19 on Digital E-commerce

The doors of shops and markets have been closed for people and now people are looking for online shopping to fulfill their daily consumption and other needs. Ecommerce websites have shown a 200% rise element in their sales between the periods of Mid-March.

Online Giants like Amazon are planning to increase their staff in their U.S based operations to deal with increased online demands of consumers.

Effect on Consumers Online Shopping Behavior

Every day, the pandemic situation is being changed and the same implies to consumers all over the globe. Shops, gyms, local stores, restaurants, other things are shuttered down. The wave of Work from home concept has been spread all over the world.

Isolating yourselves from society is so immense that overnight changes are being seen to their shopping behaviors.

The Covid-19 Impact on the Smartphone Delivery

But not all online stores are gaining rise in their sales, during this quarantine days, having problem of logistics, the online mobile industry is damaged by the Covid-19 and almost 15%-25% sales have been declined in the first quarter of 2020 of China. And as far as the global market of online mobile is concerned, a 5% major drop is expected.

Even Covid-19 bother Apple Company and now Spokesperson from Apple Company has said that they will not meet the Quarter 1 Objectives of this year.

 Covid-19 Is Forcing to?

As all are going through this century’s biggest disaster (in my opinion) where all businesses, online shops are being cursed. Covid-19 is forcing innovators and geniuses to bring new groundbreaking ideas and solutions that should have the power and ability to resist against the coronavirus and Resurrect businesses to their old positions.

Now many companies are coming up with innovative ideas like robots, automation tools and drones to deliver products to your doors. And Chinese companies have successfully done these experiments with productive outcomes.

We have to admit that the century is going through the toughest situations. But someone has to come as frontman to address this pandemic situation and to lead the solution.

How Web and Mobile App Development companies Can Helpful in this Pandemic Situation?

As far as minimizing the physical contact is concerned, I think Web and Mobile App Development companies should have played an important role to prevent eCommerce loss as much as possible.

As we have seen that, people are now looking for online shopping but there is a twist that many people especially from Asian countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, etc. don’t have sufficient knowledge of how to use Ecommerce websites for online shopping in this Pandemic episodes.

A Golden Opportunity for …

Now many small business owners whose business is local, and they don’t have any websites, due to pandemic situations, are also looking for websites or e-facility to satisfy their local customer’s needs.

This a great opportunity for website designers and developers; they can give affordable website design and development services for those small business owners or local shop owners. You can contact us on the matter of the website. We will give you a perfect solution in a short period of time.

A Positive Rise in Virus Protection Products

Both Governmental and Medical authorities are forcing people to sustain enough hygiene and not to touch their faces, eyes for no reason, people are following. That is the reason why virus protection products’ sales are being arisen day by day.

On the other hand, offline vendors are facing huge trouble and obstacles to fulfil the mass consumers’ needs within the time limit, the aged persons prefer online products instead of offline stores; assisting eCommerce portals to get a surge in revenue.

According to Giant Company Adobe, the online purchasing of virus protection products have been increased by 800%.

Is the eCommerce Industry Going to Experiment Post Covid-19?

There is no denying the fact that this pandemic situation of coronavirus will leave a huge void for industries, brand owners. So, when this crisis will be overcome, are eCommerce Development Services providers still going to experiment at the same level?

The chances for this are very bright. Customers will see a quality content in terms of goods, services, and other services, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality will be tested at their best by vendors or marketers. Due to this pandemic situation, the world can see a more bright future of online shopping and eCommerce websites by innovators to keep their business alive in every situation.

What will happen after this Pandemic?

Undoubtedly, the Covid-19 crisis has left a massive shock wave in the world in terms of economy, and also it will affect millions of families. In the present situation, it is very critical for businesses, whether online or offline, to ensure that their associates are secure and sound.

If we consider the episodes of Covid-19 from a long-term perspective, the coronavirus has changed the business methods and how these businesses are going to be conducted in upcoming years.

In the end, eCommerce agencies and WordPress development services providers that will select to capitalize based on these core changes will see a rise; but the ones that will not go with the wind will be hit.

5 WAYS YOUR USERS CAN BENEFIT FROM CLOUD ANTI-SPAM

While many email admins prefer to keep their messaging hygiene in their own data centers, others who are looking to save money and reduce the amount of hardware in their data centers should consider cloud anti-spam solutions.

5 ways your users can benefit from cloud anti spam.png
5 ways your users can benefit from cloud anti spam Courtesy by comodo.com

There are some significant features in cloud anti-spam that can help admins and their systems, and, let’s not forget, our users. Here are five ways your users can benefit from cloud anti-spam:

1. Individual Quarantine folders

The best cloud anti-spam solutions provide individual quarantine folders per recipient, making it easy for an admin to quickly parse, find and release a blocked message if necessary.

2. Self-service release of messages

Fortunately, admins who don’t want to deal with users’ spam don’t have to. Many cloud anti-spam solutions offer user self-service. Users can log onto the service provider’s web portal, see their own individual quarantine, and release their own blocked messages.

3. Individual summary reports

Each user in your organization can get their own email summary from your cloud anti-spam service that lists every message that was addressed to them and blocked by the service.

Usually these reports show the sender, the date and time, the subject line, and attachments, which is enough for the user to determine if the message should be released or not.

Many services let you send these multiple times per day if you wish, and often the summary will include a hyperlink so your users can release their own blocked messages if they choose without having to log onto a portal.

4. Deliver spam to the junk mail folder

Of course you may prefer to keep all your mail “in-house” and that is okay too. Look for cloud anti-spam providers that can integrate spam blocking with Outlook’s Junk Mail folder, so that users still get all their email, but the spam is automatically sorted into the right folder.

5. Outbound filtering

Often a user will send an email to a customer or other business contact and it never gets there. The recipient’s own systems flag the message as spam and block it, and days can go by before your user realizes their email never got to the recipient.

With outbound filtering, you can check all of your users’ email to ensure that they send for qualities that would flag it as spam, and notify them, so they can clean it up, remove keywords or too many links, to reduce the chance that the message will be blocked at the recipient, and to know that they should follow up to make sure the email goes through.

Cloud anti-spam is a great solution for those organizations that would like an alternative to on-premise anti-spam, as they can offload the work to a provider while benefitting from the same protection.

Artificial Intelligence How It Works (Machine & Deep Learning)

Artificial intelligence is more and more present in our lives and it remodels permanently the world we live in. For this reason, we need to know what is meant artificial intelligence and how it works.

Artificial Intelligence How It Works
Artificial Intelligence How It Works Courtesy By digitalmarkeeter

What is Artificial Intelligence?

At first, artificial intelligence seemed to be just a science-fiction subject: talking machines, machines that can think, machines that can feel. However, scientists have recently made significant advances in this field of computer science research.

Over the years, much has been said about artificial intelligence, car learning, and deep learning. What difference does it make among these three terms, which is quite difficult to understand, and what is the connection between them?

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

is a branch of computer science with the aim of building intelligent machines and shaping human intelligence.

Machine Learning

is a branch of the artificial intelligence science that aims to give the machines the ability to “learn”. This is done by using algorithms that identify patterns based on received data, so machines can make decisions and make predictions that is, become “smart.” In this way, it is no longer necessary for the machine to be programmed specifically for each individual action.

Machine Learning - intelvue

As Arthur Samuel stated in 1959, machine learning is “the science that gives computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed.”

Deep Learning

On the other hand, Deep Learning is a branch of the machine learning science that represents the most advanced field of artificial intelligence. It has the main aim of giving cars the ability to learn and think as much as humans.

Deep Learning

The picture below illustrates perfectly the relationship between artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.

The Relationship Between artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning

Artificial Intelligence

The term “artificial intelligence” appeared in 1959, and as Raymond Kurzweil, a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence is “the art of creating cars that would perform intelligence functions if they were fulfilled by people”.

The progress made in this area of informatics has sparked heated debates about the threat that artificial intelligence poses to humanity, whether we are talking about a physical threat (there are voices claiming humanity can be exterminated by robots endowed with artificial intelligence), or Economic (to prevent this danger, the basic universal income, which is currently being tested in some countries) has been proposed.

Car Learning

Machine learning methods allow the elimination of the need for machine programming for each action in a list of possibilities and determine how the machine intelligence should react to each of them.

Car Learning
Car Learning Courtesy By Built IN

From 1949 until the late 1960s, American engineer Arthur Samuel worked intensively on the development of artificial intelligence, from the mere recognition of models to learning from experience. He used a chess game for his research while working with IBM, and his work later influenced the programming of early IBM computers.

Current machine learning methods are becoming more and more sophisticated, integrating them into a range of complex medical applications such as genome analysis, in a disease prevention effort, diagnosing depression based on speech patterns, or identifying individuals with suicidal tendencies.

Deep Learning

Deep learning requires a complex architecture that imitates neural networks of the human brain to give meaning to models even when details are lacking, data available is insufficient, or when they can create confusion. Although the possibilities offered by deep learning are vast, its requirements are: we need a lot of data and extraordinary computing power.

How can Cloud Computing Benefit an Organization?

How can Cloud Computing benefit an organization?
How can Cloud Computing benefit an organization?

Going to the actual topic first, we should see what cloud computing is? What are the cloud services?

Cloud computing is here and has been accepted by many a corporation. Cloud computing as defined by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is

“a model for allowing accessible, on-demand network access to a distributed pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., servers, applications, networks, storage, & services) that can be swiftly provisioned and delivered with insignificant administration effort or service provider interaction.”

Cloud computing is primarily about outsourcing IT resources accurately like you would outsource services like Electricity or water off a shared public grid. The cloud services options include:

1. Software as a Service (SaaS)

Whereby the user utilizes the cloud provider’s applications running on cloud infrastructure, and the applications are accessible from multiple customer devices through a fragile customer interface such as a web browser (such as web-based email).

2. Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Here the user uses their applications on the provider’s infrastructure. The option, as mentioned above, permits the client to develop business applications and take them online promptly. They encompass services like Sales Force Automation, Email Campaign management, Employee management, Vendor management, etc.

The buyer has a way of processing, networks, storage, and additional significant computing resources where the user can employ and operate optional software, which can incorporate operating systems and applications.

The user doesn’t operate, control or manage the underlying cloud infrastructure but has authority over operating systems, storage deployed applications, & likely insufficient control of chosen networking parts (e.g., host firewalls). Rackspace Cloud and Amazon EC2 are examples of IaaS.

Now coming to the actual topic that was why should a company go for the cloud? Deciding to migrate business services to Cloud Computing circumstances is not an easy job.

How can cloud computing benefit a company
How can cloud computing benefit a company

To answer this question, it is necessary to originate a feasibility analysis process in the corporation that permits considering the scenarios in which the adoption of Cloud Computing services undoubtedly reshapes the business and helps establish the cost/benefit ratio that can be achieved.

To obtain from migrating from the current platform to a Cloud environment. The answer to this question can be easily solved if we establish a list of criteria that allow us to clearly establish the tangible benefits of using a Cloud Computing environment.

  6. How much money does the company represent maintaining the data warehouse of backups (purchase of disk-storage, electricity, software licenses, physical space, physical security, etc.)?
  7. How fast is the hardware on the company’s platform depreciating?
  8. What hidden costs can have to underused servers (energy consumption, maintenance, etc.)?
  9. How much money represents to the company the operation of the access systems and perimeter control of the data center?

IT Platform Security

IT platform security
  1. What are the risks of deploying the company’s platform in a Cloud Computing environment?
  2. Do corporate services have robust systems for user authentication, auditing, and management? Can these systems be used in a Cloud environment?
  3. Can the organization’s security policies be adapted to a Cloud Computing environment (access controls, Firewall rules, VPN, IDS, etc.)?
  4. Should access to business services be allowed from networks other than the corporate system?

Platform Management

  1. How long does it take to have corporate services available after a service outage with the current platform, how long with a Cloud Computing environment?
  2. What is the level of difficulty for service restoration using an alternate data center and in a Cloud Computing environment?
  3. How easily do the administration, monitoring, and backup processes of the servers that make up the company’s technological infrastructure develop?
  4. Is it possible to replace the backup procedures to removable media or data warehouses to cloud storage services?
  5. What capacity does the current platform have, and is it planned to support the growth in the demand for services in the coming months or years?
  6. How long can it take for the technology provider/distribution channel to supply the company with hardware such as storage devices, new servers, or to replace damaged parts?

Final Thoughts on Today’s Topic

Augmented Reality In a Nutshell! How AR Actually Works?

What is Augmented Reality? How AR Actually Works?
What is Augmented Reality? How AR Actually Works?
Image Source – Google | Image By techrepublic

Pokemon Go. Snap-Chat. These programs brought Augmented Reality (AR) into the limelight in the past couple of decades. This tech has enhanced how we connect to the society, rendering it a fun, engaging, and energetic place to dwell in.

While it can look similar to that tech is just a recent innovation, you are going to be astonished to know AR actually has its origins far back from the 1800s.

Therefore sit tight when I make an effort to replicate this 200-year-old theory in a nutshell.

What is Augmented Reality in Simple Words?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines AR is an improved variant of reality generated using technology to overlay electronic information on feed.

If we define in simple words, it is the combination of virtual and real computerized worlds. Given a real subject, taken on a camera or video, the technology (Augments= “adds to”) that real-world picture with extra digital information layers.

What is the purpose of Augmented Reality?

The main objective or purpose of augmented reality is to design such a powerful system in which the user of this technology cannot identify the real world and the virtual augmentation of it.

Uses of Augmented Reality

Augmented reality has acquired a very vast length of applications, from Education to Health, Gaming to Sports, Business to Medicine, Archaeology to Architecture, Industrial Manufacturing to Commerce, etc.

So, how can AR Work?

Every AR system comprises three components – hardware, software, and the application. For explanation reasons, I’ll use the illustration of our smart-phones to expound the idea.

1) Hardware

The hardware identifies with your equipment by the digital pictures have been projected. In cases like this, they genuinely are their own smart-phones. For AR to focus on those devices, they have to have sensors and chips that may encourage the high requirements of AR. Here are just some of the Major hardware elements:

Processor

This really can be the mind of this gadget. It determines the rate of one’s own phone and also whether it can control the important AR requirements, along with its usual phone functions.

AR demands high-performance GPUs; therefore, your digital material can be made and invisibly easily.

Sensors

This element gives your device the capacity to generate awareness of its own environment. Various detectors required for AR contain:

  • Depth Sensor: To quantify thickness and space
  • Gyroscope: To discover the angle and location of your mobile
  • Proximity Sensor: To quantify just how close and way something is
  • Accelerometer: To detect fluctuations in speed, motion, and turning
  • Lighting Sensor: To quantify light brightness and intensity

All these hardware specifications are all very important for AR to work precisely on the apparatus. It’s just one reason why the subsequent generations of cellular phones have AR capacities.

2) Software

The 2nd component in an AR process maybe your applications, and also this is the place where the AR magical begins. ARKit (Apple) and also ARCore (Android) are still a few situations of AR computer software. These apps have three fundamental technologies that let them develop augmented-reality experiences.

Environment Understanding

This lets your mobile to find outstanding feature points along with horizontal surfaces to map out its surroundings. In doing this, the device may subsequently put virtual objects right on those surfaces.

Motion-tracking

allowing your mobile to determine its location in accordance with its own environment. Virtual objects may subsequently be implanted in the designated areas over the image.

Light Estimation

This gives your mobile the capacity to comprehend the environment’s present light state. Virtual objects may subsequently be set at precisely the exact same lighting states to boost precision.

Notice the way hardware and applications work together. When the equipment doesn’t contain the detectors to measure light intensity, then the computer software’s light estimation capacities will be useless in this case.

3) Application

The last element of an AR system is the application itself.

It’s critical to become clear that the computer software allows AR software to perform onto your own smart-phone but doesn’t hold the AR options. The AR features like the 3D filters and objects originate from the cellular software.

Software like Snap Chat, Pokemon-Go, and IKEA Place possess their database of virtual pictures and triggering logic. This software pulls digital pictures out of their database and then map them outside on the live pictures.

Operating Principles of Augmented Reality Technology

Marker-based Tracking

This manner calls for optical markers, such as QR codes, also to activate the AR options automatically. By pointing your cell camera one of these bar codes, the program admits it and superimposes the electronic image on the monitor.

Marker-less Tracking

AR software that works predicated on marker-less monitoring is triggered whenever they comprehend specific real-world capabilities. In the instance of Snap Chat, that real-life thing can see your face.

How is Marketing World getting benefit from AR?

The software such as AR from the advertising world is aplenty. Imagine a universe where pointing your camera in a physical restaurant demonstrates to one of that the reviews of these meals there. Or giving people exclusive deals whenever they utilize their own AR lenses to study your shop.

Not only is that an even more interactive way of engaging your clients, however, but it’s also likewise a faster method (when compared with google-search) of finding advice specific for you.

AR is actually a highly useful tool when used sensibly. Below are some innovative uses of AR in a promotion that organizations have inked.

Burger King – AR technology is helping the burger king to stand out in the competition and helping them into their advertisements campaigns.

Timberland – with AR to permit folks to observe how they appear to be within their own apparel fast.

Top 10 Website Design Usability Issues That Cause Great Loss

Whether you have a logo design website or are looking to start a web presence in the US or elsewhere across the globe, you will need to contemplate these big ten website design usability issues:

1. Superior Impressions Last

Various studies have demonstrated that the eye generally reads out a page in an “F” pattern, from top left to the right. Therefore, the hottest property in your small business web site is the top left area.

Post your essential information there, especially your corporate logo. The single exception for this is to center the logo in the upper area. In the event, the logo is symmetrical.

In general, your web site should develop a terrific first impression and set confidence and trust on your visitor. Your website design must not hinder or neutralize site content or branding onto some page, including your page.

2. Maintain Navigation Clean & Terrible

It’s best to have universal and consistent navigation on your web site. This means with the main menu that could get all pages in any given moment.

This would make it effortless for audiences to obtain the information they want and maintains confidence within their encounter with your company. Having supporting navigation such as bread crumbs or contextual “previous” and “next” buttons or links to related items will fortify your business site’s overall usability.

Consistency is key, and keep in mind that navigation, such as text links and a sitemap, is also employed by search engine robots when indexing your site pages to their search engine results.

3. Make it Effortless to Contact You

Make it effortless for prospective clients to contact you by showing your Cochrane office address or phone number clearly on all pages of your site, or on your own vital pages.

It is possible to also have a contact us page which has details, such as different branches, key contacts along with a contact us form. On today’s internet sites, it is also popular to see live-chat options thus a visitor could connect to your staff as they surf!

4. Call to Action

Even if it’s just to lead a visitor to call your working environment, a site needs a “proactive approach” — this is an activity that’s defined through a combination of site navigation, content generation and site functionality, for example, e-commerce processing.

What do you want people to do on your website? Where would you like them? What is the next phase as soon as they’ve found your site? Could it be to call you? Source something on the internet or educate themselves? Or perhaps share advice with a co-worker at the form of an eBook or prerecorded video.

5. Maintaining First the “Fold Focus”

Maintain the essential information you’ll need them to see from the upper region of your own site, or wherever you’re, above the fold, that’s the base of the browser window, even where someone must scroll to read more.

This is the reason why trademarks, menus along with the principal calls to action show up in the top part of the site design — they have to be high in mind and easy to see, without the individual being forced to scroll down the page to locate the web content that they need.

Of course, when detailed information is required pages may be more, but consider using a PDF file for more passive articles, since it keeps the actual web page shorter and more manageable, and you can brand your PDFs as an origin of viral marketing, using Internet links straight back into your webpage on your website.

Google and other search engines index PDFs similar to Web pages, which means that your PDFs will even generate from the search engine success.

6. Online Content as a Relationship Builder

A relationship can be a continuing commitment from either side, it’s perhaps not just a one-way street. While visitors are searching for a product or advice; your online business is searching for this potential lead and the selling that they attract — as it has been said, it is indeed much easier to make a sale to a person that has already bought from you before.

Thus, when I state “supplies a return” I mean it’s really a return for the two sides, the coming customer finds continual value in your offers, and you also retain them like a loyal client or customer. So keep content updated and consider adding a blog or Content Management System for a business Web site.

7. Clear Content Layout

Organize your web content so that your viewer can go on 1 web page to another location. Be certain that information is prioritized at a hierarchy of desire (both to them and you) and offer the information or product in their mind as efficiently as possible.

Consider your home page as the gateway into the internet site’s key areas and lead the visitor to what you’re able to provide them (e.g. hottest deals, latest advice package, latest blog entry, etc.) and then give them to them.

Make sure that every internet page follows a more consistent design for navigation and branding and that this articles area has been organized within a fresh manner, so the design aspects of the site do not restrict content delivery.

8. Amazing Appearance

A web site’s belief is made not only by what exactly is included in the site, but what exactly is left out. Banner ads advertisements, 3rd party advertising, non-interactive flash websites and also obvious color schemes that intentionally fight for the visitor’s interest.

Your viewers are usually looking for a single thing in your own site, so ensure it is simple to find by keeping the arrangement and design of their website comfortable, clean and direct.

9. Secure Your Website to Ensure Trust

With billions of webpages online these days, people will need to know, more than that they can trust their valuable time and money to precisely what your site has to offer you.

Get security seals and trusted third party endorsements, an SSL Certification tells your visitor that you have planned to procure your web site appropriately.

However, there are many subtle, yet effective, means to show your visitor that they can trust your site: comprise a correctly written online privacy policy, terms of use, returns and shipping policy, unique logins for their enrollment, admit you won’t ever share or sell your personal information with a 3rd party unless they agree and only email them to the level into which they’ve accepted.

A sure method to ensure the trust is to get your internet presence professionally developed by way of a community design company as this may develop a professional site that is visually unique and precisely organized and serves to your individual needs.

10. Triple Check Every Web Page

Errors happen, its technology all things considered, although most of us want to think that technology could deliver 100%, 24/7 — is that reality?

The reality is knowing that injuries happen, temporary glitches may occur, and once in a while, things need to get fixed. The truth of this Web is that technology needed to keep expanding and those tools made to make your life easier still take time to learn and use.

As technology advances, we must be prepared to upgrade, upgrade and expand along with it. By mending even simple errors like broken links (this necessitates ongoing maintenance), spelling errors, snapped pictures, browser inconsistencies, etc., you can pose a well-polished stone to your website visitor, which will return the investment in upkeep its visual allure, optimum functionality and delivery of relevant needed content.

Conclusion

Take into account those mentioned above ten critical points to improve your website or whether you’re looking to begin a new web design project.

How To Improve Your Blog?

In this blog, we are going to talk about how to improve your blog? What key factors we should follow for our blog? Stay tuned with us to the end of the blog.

Blog writing is a tricky business; its success is wholly based on how the audience views it. While some may think this factor is out of the control of the blog writers that is not the actual case. The audience could be drawn towards your blog through a set of key factors, which all blog writers should know about:

Understand Your Niche

To start a blog, you must have your basics strong. What are you writing about? Where and why did you get the idea? Do you have enough background information on the topic? Will the public read your blog? And most importantly, how do you plan to set up your idea, and what do you aim to achieve through the blog? A successful blogger’s thinking from this individual perspective is key:

  • First, the blogger must figure out, identify and anticipate that their blogs are going to be dependent on what? Is the audience going to read it?

  • Is it something unheard of? Or will he bring something new to an existing opinion/product/service?

  • Most importantly, the blogger must be specific to his topic. He should go for the one which is related to his niche. He should not go for a broad topic, which will only confuse the readers and make them uninterested.

Perfect Title Wins The Game

Once the context is set, you have to come up with an attention-grabbing title for the blog. You need to come up with something out of the box. Yes, it is easier said than done, but it’s not impossible. The first impression on the audience is based entirely upon the title you choose. It should be exciting but precise. Pose the beginning of a fascinating concept as the title, but don’t give away too much information. You need the audience to want to read the blog to find out what the title entails. Remember, be precise, but do not be vague.

The audience has to know what they are delving into. Especially those of the younger generation tend to lose their interest in reading within seconds, whereas they cover up most of the audience, which is something of great concern for the blogger. 53.3% of youngsters in the world are blog viewers.

Keeping Up With The Keywords

Keywords are literally self-explanatory. These are the key components of the blog, which you are to use within the text, as well as the title. You will attract readers through the keywords you select, as they would be used by the readers to search forums.

Since keywords basically predict blog traffic, you must make sure to pick them through careful consideration. They should be incorporated within the title as well as the text, so that the readers may find your blog easy to navigate, by searching for these words. Around 77% of the internet users read blogs, but 46% among them, search blogs using keywords.

Incorporate Trends And Viral Topics

Your blog should be in line with the recent trends to grab the attention of the audience. Search for topics that are viral through online platforms and social media, and opt for writing on them. Or, you could also incorporate trending ideas, which you may find to be relevant within the topic you have selected.

Trends Give Insights

These trends are a great insight into the psyche of the audience you are trying to attract. What do they currently find interesting? What are their views on specific topics? What might they be willing to search and want to read about? A blogger keeps tabs on all of this.

Surfing Social Media

Social media is the ace up the sleeve of a blog writer. You can either get ideas for blog writing, find out what your audience might want to read, recent discussions and trends, or even promote your blog. As social media is a platform used by almost everyone throughout the globe, you might find all sorts of ideas and information from it.

You can also use it as a channel for communication and promotion for your blogs. About 95.9% of bloggers surf through social media to get unique ideas and knowledge about what people are interested in, and they also use this platform to promote them.

How social media platforms help to boost your blog traffic

Perfection In Precision

One thing most blog writers do not take into consideration is the length of their blogs. Attracting audiences through texts which are to the point and not excessively lengthy is key. You brought the audience to your blog post with your keywords. You grabbed their attention with your title. Now you need to put across your idea in such a way that you do not make them lose interest halfway.

Make your points, portray your intellect on the chosen subject, cover all the aspects you want, but in a precise manner. Blogs that are 7 minutes long get maximum read.

Promotions

The first page of the google receives 96% of the web traffic, with the subsequent pages receiving 5% or less of the total traffic. Invest in promotions. It may seem like a hassle in theory, but it plays a significant role in increasing blog traffic. What if your potential audience does not know about your blog because they never searched the keywords? Promotions and advertisements on different platforms will solve that problem for you. If you are new to blog writing, and you have good content to post, promoting your blog may even gain you regular audiences and build up continuous blog traffic right from the beginning.

Sharing Links

Once your audience is engaged, how do you utilize that to bring more traffic to your blog? You can provide sharable links, such as for Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other popular social media platforms. It will encourage the audience to share the posts they liked on your blog site on to such platforms.

It may act as a secondary promotion for your blog without you financially investing in it.

Engagement Of Audiences

It is easy to attract viewers towards your blogsite; the difficulty arises in keeping them engaged. The first step to this is writing compelling content. But other alternatives are also available for you to utilize as a blogger.

Try introducing incentives for the audiences from time to time. It could be done by conducting free give-aways. The opportunity for the audience to win prizes through your blogs will grasp their attention and ensure regular traffic.

Another source of engagement of the audience is the comments section. It allows your audience to be able to share their opinions – negative, positive or critical – on your blog posts. A level of communication would make your audience feel more involved and valued. You could also alter your future blog posts based on your audience’s views.

2020 Global Statistics

As per 2020 global statistics, there are currently 31.7 million active blog writers, and the number is set to increase. Adding blogs to an existing website increases by 43.4% traffic.

Images Paint 1000 Words

Furthermore, you can enhance the outlook of your posts on an aesthetic level by using pictures and videos to explain your topic. Visual aids tend to attract more audiences as the images make the blogs more aesthetically pleasing.

These may thus increase the interest of your audience into the subject being discussed, as well as help you in better getting your point across.

Images and videos will also help you to minimize your word count for the post. Instead of writing extra-long essays as blog posts, you could reduce your word count and use relevant visual tools to explain your viewpoint further as well. 94% blog viewing audience is attracted by the images used inside the blogs.

Guest posts

You can also involve other bloggers in your blog writing. Identifying other blogs portraying the same ideas as yours could allow you access to their audience, that you could grab for your blog. You can attract this audience through offering to guest post on similar blog sites. In this way, the audience would become aware of your blog site, and be tempted to search your content as well, increasing traffic.

Routinely updates

Don’t leave your audience hanging. Once you gain proper blog traffic, you must maintain their level of interest in your blog site. For this, you need to post routinely and offer them content to read. Extended gaps between posts could make the audience lose interest and lower your blog traffic.

Why Do Bloggers Fail?

WHy Blog Fails
Image Source – Google | Image by earningguys

512 million blogs have been created, out of which many have failed to grab attention. Here is why:

  • Bloggers are not consistent.
  • Ignore SEO.
  • Are greedy to earn and quit at an early stage if they earn less.
  • They have a lack of personality, concentration, passion, and creativity, knowledge, motivation, run out of ideas, stay out of touch with current trends, and do not change with the on-going dynamics.

Only 16% of bloggers become successful each year, although there are millions of bloggers worldwide, which post 10 billion blogs per year.

Conclusion

All in all, formulate a draft of your blog and crosscheck with the list above before you go through with the actual posting. Covering all the points, especially the ones relevant to the actual content writing – such as titles, keywords and precision writing – would ensure that you produce good quality blog posts.

The remaining points will guarantee an active audience grabbing for your blog posts. The combination of good content and blog visibility will easily ensure the success of your blog site.
